6/30/10 - Women’s Volleyball Releases 2010 Schedule
Fullerton, CA- Head Coach Steve La Rusch has released the Hope International Women’s Volleyball schedule for the 2010 season. After traveling around the Northwest last season, the farthest the Royals will travel this upcoming season is their conference match at Fresno Pacific.
The Royals will officially open their season by spending two days participating in the Cougar Classic at Azusa Pacific.
On September 1, Hope International and Vanguard will open their Golden State Athletic Conference schedules with a match on the Royals home floor- the Darling Pavilion. This match was actually moved up ten days to accommodate Vanguard playing in a tournament.
Two days later, the Royals will host the NCCAA Classic that will include Southwestern from Arizona, Simpson from Northern California, and GSAC rival The Master’s.
Hope International jumps right back into GSAC play three days later. When attempting to add wins to their record in conference, they have the imposing task of playing a ranked team in nearly every match. Last season, eight GSAC teams finished in the NAIA’s Top 25 which includes holding four of the top five spots.
A match against Chapman in early November is the last non-conference match of the season.
