6/29/10 - Women’s Soccer Releases 2010 Schedule
Fullerton, CA- Director of Soccer Joe Lurker is pleased to announce the Hope International Women’s Soccer Schedule for the upcoming 2010 season. A trip to Oregon highlights the build up to tough Golden State Athletic Conference play.
Sandwiched between a scrimmage with Long Beach City College and the first ever Women’s Soccer Alumni match is the season opener with Roberts Wesleyan. The Royals are still awaiting word to see if they will be playing Roberts Wesleyan in a rare home night match.
On back to back days, Hope International will host William Jessup followed by College of Saint Mary from Nebraska. The Royals are hoping the match against College of Saint Mary will be a night game as well.
A trip to Oregon will find the Royals facing off with Southern Oregon and Pacific (OR) with both matches played at Southern Oregon.
The final pre-conference matches will come in the form of Simpson and Southwestern (AZ) at the NCCAA Classic hosted by The Master’s College in Santa Clarita.
One week later, the Royals will open GSAC play by welcoming Fresno Pacific to their Cal State Fullerton soccer home. The 2009 season ended with four GSAC teams being ranked in the top 12 in the NAIA. Two more GSAC teams, including The Master’s- the 2009 NCCAA National Champions, concluded the season receiving votes.
The Royals will forfeit their scheduled bye in conference play to meet up with Great Falls from Montana for their final regular season non-conference match.Click here for the complete schedule.
