2/6/10- Haines Rasp Royals

Santa Barbara, CA- The Royals had no answer for Dan Rasp (25 points) and Evan Haines (12 rebounds) as they fell to the Warriors 82-61 on Saturday night.  Senior Buai Tut was the high point man of the Royals with 17 points.

Just under three minutes into the game, the score was tied 4-4 after Senior Marko Torovic scored the first four points for the Royals.  Unfortunately, he would score just four more points the rest of the night.  Even worse yet, 15 seconds after Torovic tied the score the Warriors (15-7, 8-6 GSAC) took back the lead and the Royals would not see the top side of the lead the remainder of the game.

Tut tried to keep the Royals close as he nailed two three pointers to be the team leader with six points at the break.

After the break, Tut hit two more three pointers on his way to 11 second half points.

Freshman Kris Rosales had a decent second half as well as he scored 8 of his 12 points and pulled down 5 of his 7 rebounds.

Junior Stephon Thomas added 10 points- five in each half.

The Royals (4-18, 0-13 GSAC) will try and snap out of their losing ways on Tuesday when they meet up with Vanguard in Costa Mesa.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
