2/8/10 - Basketball (W): Champ Hood Named GSAC Player of the Week

Fullerton, CA- Junior Center Champ Hood was named the GSAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week as announced today by the Golden State Athletic Conference. Last week, Hood averaged 27.5 points and 8 rebounds and hit 77.4% of her shots from the field as Hope International split two GSAC games against Concordia and Westmont. more...

Santa Barbara, CA- Down by nine at halftime, and then down again late in the second half, Hope International force Westmont to play not one but two overtimes before falling 92-88. Fullerton, CA- On Saturday night, for their 2010 home opener, Hope International welcomed NCAA UC San Diego. Unfortunately, the visiting Tritons overpowered the Royals and beat them 3-0 (30-24, 30-25, 30-28). Newcomers Brett Massetti and Kaimi Guerreiro, making their first appearance in a Royals uniform at home, hammered out 11 kills each. more...
